Based in Berlin, Ukrainian singer, songwriter, and producer GANNA draws on her country's ancestral songs to create music at the crossroads of folklore, electronica, and improvisation. Nourished by years of collecting and traveling throughout Ukraine, she reactivates a centuries-old vocal heritage, projecting it into contemporary soundscapes where rural traditions, electronic textures, and jazz freedom converse without boundaries.
A singular figure on the new European scene, GANNA develops a deeply personal approach to transmission: preserving the memory of Ukrainian songs while grounding them in the present. Her debut solo album, KUPALA (2023), was recognized as one of the best Ukrainian albums of the year and hailed as one of the most significant new European sounds.
With UTOPIA (2025), co-produced with Tomáš Kašpar and enriched by the participation of musicians from the worlds of jazz, traditional music, and experimental music, she further expands her sonic territory.
Between ritual voices, organic percussion, traditional instruments, and electronic explorations, GANNA crafts an immersive music where Ukrainian heritage becomes a living, fluid, and resolutely contemporary material.
